Tess Marlow is the pen name of the editor who runs Sleep Facts. Tess is not a doctor, pharmacist or sleep scientist and doesn't give medical advice. Every page is written from the research it cites, every health claim is graded, and mistakes are corrected in the open.

Why a pen name?

The editor prefers to keep the site separate from their private life. Using one consistent name shows that the same person stands behind every page and is answerable for it. We would rather say that plainly than invent a biography.

What does Tess do?

Tess chooses what the site covers, reads the studies and guidance behind each page, writes and edits the articles, assigns the evidence grades and deals with corrections. Tess has no financial links to any company that sells sleep products, supplements or medicines.

Can Tess give medical advice?

No, and nothing on this site is medical advice. That’s why every claim links to its source and why we are looking for a qualified reviewer for the health pages. AI tools help with research and drafting, and every figure is checked against its source before a page goes live.

How can you contact Tess?

Email hello@sleepfacts.uk. If you think something is wrong, a link to the evidence helps us check it quickly.
